Wow. Thank you Shannon. I’m awake in the middle of the night and this is what I needed to be reminded of: the Revolution is going to come from women. I feel this in my bones and I know it’s not going to be quick, but it will be powerful if we - as you have said before - lock arms.

The one image seared into my mind is the Tech bros at the a Inauguration - smug, compliant, misogynistic. It felt daunting and was a stark reminder to me of something I had been warning people of for the last six years: we are in an information war and the power brokers are not on our side. BUT, these men are also incredibly weak - to be so driven by money, power and hate is a fatal flaw. AND they are just a handful of men and we are mothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, grandmothers, friends and allies. We have tremendous power - we must use it.

This is one of the best, most inspirational pieces I've read since the inauguration. Thank you! Thank you for what you do (and have done)... and for the robust list of practical things we can all do. I'll add one. Everyone who reads this should share it far and wide with their networks!

Brilliant post, Shannon! And much needed right now. As my friends and I talk about how to rise up and make a difference during this tumultuous, unsettling, frightening time, it's comforting knowing we have leaders such as yourself to help us figure out next steps. So thank you for being a beacon of hope and security at this tragic time in history!

I saw this come in last night and knew it was something I wanted to take my time reading and I'm so happy it's the first thing I'm reading this morning. I needed this as I've felt helpless many times and like I'm grasping at straws. I love the different ways we are speaking out and taking control. I honestly never thought of my business as being a place in the resistance and yet it most certainly is! I employee people, we promote the stories of others and are increasing empathy and knowledge through storytelling! You've reignited my fire today! THANK YOU!!!!

What a great article. Setting boundaries is key to protecting your peace and keeping the momentum going for the long haul. I will be sharing this with my women’s circle group (that I created for this very purpose) - at our last meeting, we discussed the importance of focusing on a few issues that impact us personally. For me, it is what is happening within the LGBTQ+ community. As a proud mama, I can speak to how this is affecting them/their community. Many moms can relate to protecting their child at any cost. We as women have to harness that power, but need to be careful not to wear ourselves out. Thank you Shannon - thank you for validating even the small efforts. Small hinges swing big doors!

Super helpful. I appreciate the encouragement and practical advice, and without any “just think positive” spiritual bypassing garbage.
