Im heading out to work a 4 hr shift as a poll greeter today in NC! Working almost every day either at the poll or based out of county Dem HQ giving rides to the voting sites. My county is 70/30 red, but we are not letting that stop us!
In Meck Cty could not be prouder of all you are doing. Such a wonderful group of folks here helping to support Democracy. Last of Postcards mailed, Canvassed, will help get folks to the polls!
I wrote an op-ed that was published today about how Project2025 puts religious liberty and families at risk. I was afraid to write it but now it's out there.
I am coming back from Costa Rica specifically to vote early in person in Austin, Texas (where we have a permanent address.) I have been talking to anyone who will listen and trying to share as much information about Kamala and her policies and protections for the American people, especially women. I am the mother of 2 grown daughters who are now mothers themselves and reproductive rights and human rights overall, common decency and truth are the most important issues for me personally. I spent many years working in the tech industry (40+ years) and have experienced some truly ridiculous moments with many of my bosses who were men. I never felt that I had a safe place to express my concerns to HR in any of the companies I worked for. I want to know that I did everything this election cycle to insure safety and freedom for my friends, family and that my 3 grandsons have a bright future in the US and are free to love, work and live wherever they want with whom ever they want. If I upset any friends or family members with my voice this time around - I am not apologizing, I am not backing down and I am NOT going back. Thank you Shannon and all of your extended team for everything you are doing to help Kamala win this election. It is such important work and I now have renewed faith about the youth in our country. Things can change - it's time to turn the page.
In New York I’m out canvassing for prop one wherever I go and also at farmers market and commuter train stations early in the morning. Nonstop. Prop one is New York’s ERA on amendment to the constitution we’ve got to get it through.
Still optimistic. The polls are not capturing new voters, Republican swing voters … This week I am training volunteers on phone banking in my swing state of Georgia!
Still writing postcards after hosting two in-person parties and one family zoom. Have written hundreds for GOTV and Early Voting in swing states. Also have registered voters on campus (Speaker's Circle) and am still working to inform students. Am phone banking to elect gun-sense candidates and just signed up to be a poll watcher. Attending Women Wednesdays for Harris each week and trying to take suggested actions. Keeping busy is my antidote to sheer panic. Family, Freedom and Future!
I dearly wish I could do more. But I am sitting in subacute rehab, trying to regain my strength after weeks in bed with COVID, and revving up to start treatment for the cancer they discovered while I was dealing with with COVID... Too damned much medical excitement.
All I have been able to do is to patrol the few bits of social media I still allow myself, looking for disinformation and correcting it as best I can. It's not much, but I can do this much from bed.
I wrote postcards with Moms Rising. I have my Harris/Vance cat sign in my front yard along with a VOTE flag, I have already voted (love the early vote by mail available in CA), I am participating in the Women's March on Nov. 2nd via donation and solidarity (I have to work that day), I have a Vot-ER badge on my work badge and I help my patients and colleagues register to vote, I wrote letters to my representatives regarding ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (I actually received a letter back from Alex Padilla today) and I am trying to stay optimistic along with encouraging my friends to do the same.
Phone banking tonight with my Congressman. Donating weekly. Looking into how I might help get folks to the polls in PA (I live in RI--I think I might be able to order Ubers for folks from afar?). Feeling pumped about Kamala's Fox interview because I think the biggest threat is propaganda and it was great for that crowd to hear directly from her, live.
In PA - canvassed for the very first time last Saturday and will continue every weekend. Also phone banking and text banking. I gave myself a goal that I will do some sort of outreach daily - post it notes, social media posts, door knocks or banking. Need to channel all this anxiety and fear into action!

Thank you for what you're doing!
Leaving sticky notes in bathroom stalls or wherever.
this is a great idea! I will start to do that when I back in the US tomorrow!
We love the sticky notes 👏
I can't stop writing postcards!
Great!! Keep going!
I'm running for Indianapolis public school board at large
That is so important! 👏

Congratulations on putting it out there. It's so important.

You're taking SO much action. Love to see it!

Every little bit helps - thank you for what you're doing. 👏 Make sure you're also taking care of yourself.

I have been canvassing and it’s really energizing to feel useful. This weekend I organized with 5 friends to go canvassing, can’t wait!
This is great to hear!
Hell yeah! We have to burn rubber!
